Nadi Astrology or Taale Gari Reading is just a Mindgame

Claims of Nadi Astrology: The Nadi Astrology claims that the past present and future of all human beings on earth are written on TaaLegaris or Ola leaves. Astrologers in possession of these leaves passed on this information from generation to generation and the reader can pull out the exact leaf that is yours and it contains all the details about YOU. The Plot: The astrologer asks for the thumb impression (right hand for males and left hand for females). The astrologer then searches his repository of Taale Gari (leaves - or papyrus of the old days) for the seeker's classification of a thumbprint. Finally, the minimum possible set of matching leaves is brought. Every leaf corresponds to some individual and hence will bear the birth and kinship details of its seeker. Then the "Reader" goes on reading the details mentioned on the palm leaf one by one. e.g. " Your name begins with Ka, cha, Ta, tha, pa , ra" ? You answer Yes or No. If it is No, he asks if it begins with 'Ka, Cha; Ta" .. or "tha, pa, ra". All you have to do is answer with a Yes or No. The Next question may be "Your name has less than 5 letters ?". You answer 'yes" or "No". The Reader goes on asking questions and finally comes close to your name. Let's say, "your name is Ravi." If it is correct the seeker has to reply yes or no. Suppose if the name is correct, the reader reads the next detail written on the same leaf, e.g. "your mother's name is Seeta." Again the seeker has to confirm the same or otherwise. If his/her mother's name is not Seeta, he/she has to reply just "no". That means the leaf does not belong to him/her. Hence the astrologer reader starts reading another palm leaf. And the procedure continues. So the seeker is asked a series of questions, based on the verses, so as to find the exact match. These questions are to be answered with yes or no. The exact leaf of the seeker is said to get only "yes" responses from the seeker. If all the details on the one and the same leaf are 100% correct, then that leaf belongs to the seeker. The astrologer goes through the leaf and related leaves containing greater detail about you called Kandas or Chapters. You pay for the reading of each Kanda or chapter. The Facts: It is virtually impossible to store the details of a person in such a small stack of handwritten paper. We know how many gigabytes of memory that amounts to a large library space is required to store the details of even several hundred thousand people. Forget the millions remaining. Thumb impression is indeed unique but these astrologers do not know an iota of the fingerprints. However fine it is or however smudged it is, they claim to be able to read from the fingerprint even better than forensic experts! Getting your details takes from 10 minutes to probably several hours ( the fact is how well you are giving up your details to the astrologer without you knowing about it) There are these astrologers everywhere who do the Naadi reading. Virtually everyone will give you the details. Except for your names and a few facts which I will tell later how it is deciphered, every detail provided by these astrologers does not match with what each other says; proving that they are just throwing BS at you. They also do not show you the leaf. If any astrologers show you the leaf, they also say that the names ( yours and your parents, etc) may magically disappear if you are not the designated reader! Also, how would these astrologers have copies of your history in those worn-out papyrus oLa leaves? There is no truth to this Nadi Astrology. All these astrologers are fake and here is how it works. The Cheat: How it works 1. Collecting the Thumb impression is just a cover-up. It has no purpose. 2. The Astrologer seeks every bit of information from you that includes your name, your parent's name, your current status, age, hobbies, etc.. and makes notes of these mentally or by writing them down. 3. After collecting all the information from you the reader brings a leaf claiming that it is yours and intersperses your name and details through the leaf's contents and makes you believe it is yours. Now your question is how does the astrologer decipher your details when you are just answering 'Yes' or 'No'. This is similar to playing the game of 20 Questions, a simple mind game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty_Questions). The reader asks you a question and the choice of answers go on becoming narrower as you keep answering 'Yes" or "No" In the above example, here is how the astrologer gets your name. [Remember, all that you have to Say is "Yes" or "No" . He starts reading the Naadi( paper) and interrupts with a few questions. This time, the first time to find your name. 1. He asks you if your name starts with " Ka Cha ta Ta Pa Ra", If you answer No, 2. He asks does it Starts with "Ga, Ja, da, sa, na, ma ' The above two sets cover most of the phonetics that names begin with. If you still answer No, there will be another phonic set of starting letters that will be presented to you. Let's say, you answered Yes to Question # 2 Now the astrologer/reader proceeds to ask you : 3. Does it Start with "Ga, Ja, Da"? If your answer is no, he asks- 4. Does it Start with "Na" ? ( Note that when you say no, your name begins with the remaining set) - Using the same principle, he asks you if it starts with "Ma". If you say No, then the obvious remaining choice is 'Sa'. He then asks you if 5. Does it Start with 'Sa'? ( and your answer is Yes") Voila !!.. the Astrologer has got the first letter in your name. He now proceeds to figure out the entire name. Here is his next question. 6. Your name has more than 5 characters ?.If your answer is No, 7. Is your name have three or fewer characters? If your answer is Yes, Voila Again! He knows your name is short! The guess is going to be easy! He then asks the last phonetic of your name 8. Does your name end with "Pa, Ba ma, Sa ra" > If your answer is yes, then the question you can expect next is -- 9. Does it end with "ma"? Oh, that was a wild guess and your name ends with "Ma" and all you did is nodded your head to say "yes" Now the astrologer goes into a name-framing mode. 10. Is your name Su- ma.. ?? ( The astrologer starts making variations of the phonetics he has collected). And your answer is 'No" . OK Now time for another Guess. 11. Is your name "So-ma" ( सोमा, ಸೋಮ, സോമ, சோம, సోమ ). And so it happens to be. and You say Yes.. ( Note the number of characters may vary in different characters but the number of phonetically used characters remains the same) and you have given out your name without saying it !!! the Astrologer notes it down on paper or mentally as it suits him. Look, it just took him 11 questions to find your name. He then asks a question to divert or break the monotony of this phonetics game. Is your Mother dead? and you answer 'No" ( Coz your mother is kicking and alive !) He now knows she is alive. Useful information for him that your wife may be having problems ( just kidding !) He goes on to ask questions about your birthplace. He asks if

1. You were born in a major city?
2. You were born outside India?
3. Were you Born in South India?
4. There is a beach in the city you were born?
5. Your birthplace starts with Ma?

Your answers for the above are: Yes, No, No, Yes, Yes.

6. Were you born in Mumbai or Mangalore? Yes

Mumbai ? ( Yes, is your answer)... He promptly notes it down.

And now your birthday.

1. You are less than 30 years old? If your answer is No, He asks

2. if you were born after 1965. ?

3. Born in 1967. Yes.. another clue to note

Now he goes on to note that you were born in 1967.

With each passing question, you are revealing information about yourself unless you make yourself aware that he is eliciting all the information he needs to weave it into a running readable script with your details interspersed in it.

You may feel tired reading the way the questions are asked. Well, that is the way it is. They spend hours saying that they have to find the correct leaf. Go back and forth, changing leaves, taking intermittent breaks, and keep eliciting, collecting, and noting information from you. All this without you being unaware of.

Now he goes on to find your mother's name (Kamala)

And then your father's name. (Ramoji)

Their Status, Occupation.

1. Your Dad works for the Government? No?
2. He has his own Business? Yes?
3. Does he deal in clothes/textiles? No?
4. He deals in electric Items? No?
5. He sells metals? Yes
6. He is a Jeweller? Yes.

You gave it!

Uh! Some astrologers are such dumb nuts they even ask irrelevant questions that do not lead to a good 20 questions game! It is a facade sometimes to ask irrelevant questions to prove to you that they are doing nothing but reading from the Naadis( paper)

So, essentially, they have all your information in hand after asking you all these questions that will fit into their format to be told in a very nice eloquent flow.

Now is the time for the grand finale.

The Astrologer goes to his bundle of leaves and pulls out one carefully as if to make you believe he is an expert in indexing and maintaining records of all the people on earth in his little bundle of leaves. It is nothing but a template to fill in the blanks with the details he has already elicited from you.

He goes on to read the template filling the details in the { } with the information he has collected from you.
